Toy & Gift Drive Begins!
Bement School is getting into the spirit of the holiday season by donating gifts to families in our community!
On November 22nd, our Giving Tree will be set up in the hallway near the elementary office. Paper ornaments with requests for items will hang on the tree. A virtual sign up sheet will also be shared online. You may also give a monetary donation, and we can do the shopping for you. Staff members, parents and community members who are interested in donating a gift can pick out an ornament or sign up for an item online, purchase the item, and return it to school unwrapped along with the ornament by December 15th. Students who wish to participate will need to have their guardian sign the permission form (see link below). We will distribute gifts before Christmas break. The person who made the request will be called so that arrangements can be made for the items to be picked up.
We feel that shopping for an item from the Giving Tree will provide an opportunity for the students to learn about generosity and helping others. We also hope that we can help to ensure that all of our students have a special holiday season. If your family can benefit from assistance this holiday season for anything from toys to books to clothes, please fill out the request form below and return it to school or contact Mrs. Clodfelter at 678-4200 ext. 209 or jclodfelter@bement.k12.il.us. All requests will be kept confidential.
