Bement High School - Spanish Teacher 
Teach 9th-12th grades with the possibility of middle school exploratory foreign language classes.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or higher.  Valid Illinois Professional Educator License for this position.  

Salary/Benefit: The salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experiences as determined by the collective bargaining agreement plus board paid health insurance and TRS.

COACHING OPPORTUNITIES

Middle School Cheerleading Coach  - Deadline: March 1, 2024 
Duties: As head coach you will host tryouts for a middle school cheer squad for the winter season of basketball. The coach will work with the Bement AD to plan practice sessions and attend the MS basketball games both home and away during the winter season of boys' basketball. 
All coaches will take a Fundamentals of Coaching Course, concussion protocol test, First Aid and CPR course thru IESA and paid for by the district. 

Middle School Baseball Coach  - Deadline: April 1, 2024 
Duties: As head coach, you will be in charge of running practices after school, attending all games, and assigning parent workers in the concession stand for home games. This is a paid position through Bement CUSD 5. The season starts August 5 and lasts about 7-8 weeks depending on Regional advancement. 

Middle School Assistant Baseball Coach  - Deadline: April 1, 2024 
Duties: As an assistant coach, you will help the head coach run practices after school, attending all games, and running or assigning a parent volunteer to run the score board during the home games. This is a paid position through Bement CUSD 5. 
All coaches will take a Fundamentals of Coaching Course, concussion protocol test, First Aid and CPR course thru IESA and paid for by the district. The season starts August 5 and lasts about 7-8 weeks depending on Regional advancement.

The daily rate of pay is $110, with the opportunity to earn more if the substitute works more than 10 consecutive days in the same position.

License with an LBS1 Endorsement or eligible for an LBS1 short term approval.


Salary/Benefit: The salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications
and experiences as determined by the collective bargaining agreement plus board paid
health insurance and TRS. This position meets the criteria for up to $17,000 in Federal
Student Aid Teacher Loan Forgiveness -
