Co-Chair Enrichment from 2017-Current
I am wanting to take time out to introduce myself. My name is Shannon Connelley. You might have heard the kids calling me Miss Shannon. I really prefer that name. My position is changing for the 2019-2020 school year. In the past, I was hired as a one on one aide for a student. I then worked my way to the RTI room to help out Mrs. Urbach. Last school year I was blessed to help out in the special education rooms from K-12! I have also seen most of your children in the lunchroom daily helping in there as well.
The current school year, I am enjoying my new position as the Librarian. I am currently enrolled as a full time student with WGU. I am working on my BA in Special Education.
I also have enjoyed working with the students in grades 3rd-5th as a Co-Chair of Enrichment. This program runs after school from Mid October to Mid April.
This school year my goal is to find a way to make people comfortable around books! Quite is not in my wheel house so we have fun and get loud from time to time. I am enjoying all the hard work the kids are giving me so far this year. I hope to expand their reading. I want to expand how they read and what they read. My plan is to do this in many types of way's I'm sure they never would have thought of.
It is a pleasure to be, living the vision, at Bement School!
