Mrs. Block's 7th grade Life Science class took advantage of Friday's nice weather.
The class was divided into two teams. Teams were challenged to create a detailed animal cell using available items.
Students were given 5 minutes to plan, 20 minutes to build and 5 minutes to present their cell and cell structures.
The teams competed valiantly and after double overtime, the result was a tie and both teams won!

Over 55 FCCLA members participated in their annual Foods for Families event by collecting food donations for the Bement Food Pantry. Through their efforts, members helped support local families in need while promoting community service and leadership. After the collection, students celebrated their hard work with a fun pizza gathering.

Special thanks to the many volunteers of the Bement Food Pantry for their help in organizing the event and to the communities of Bement, Ivesdale, and Milmine for your generous donations to such a great cause.

Our Sports & Entertainment Marketing students had the honor of presenting a check for $1,296.52 to the Bement Food Pantry from our Movie for Meals event. This donation will help purchase items to create bags of food for local families in need this Thanksgiving. We are so grateful to everyone who supported this project—whether you attended the event, donated, or helped spread the word. It truly takes a village, and Bement showed up in a big way.

Thank you for helping our students make a real difference right here at home. 💜🐾

The high school football game on Saturday, October 18th has been designated as “The Tackle for a Cure Game” featuring Tri-County and Arcola/CGB. October is breast cancer awareness month and to support this important cause, all six high school principals from Arcola, Bement, Cerro Gordo, Kansas, Oakland, and Shiloh will be competing in a fun “Battle of the Principals.”
From Tuesday, October 7th through Friday, October 17th, students will have the chance to donate money toward the principal they would most like to see pied during halftime of the football game. The principal who raises the most money will take a pie to the face during halftime. Even better—if the principals collectively raise $1,000 or more, all six will get pied!
If you would like to see Mr. Kepley take a pie, stop by the office, and drop your donation in his jar!
