Big thanks to our guest speakers this week!

Mrs. Leinard’s 8th grade Career Exploration class got to meet with Kirby Medical Center online to learn about healthcare careers, and Deputy Bross stopped by to share about law and public safety.

We’re so grateful for the amazing resources and people who take time to help our students explore future careers!

Today, Mrs. Leinard’s Sports & Entertainment Marketing class had the privilege of hearing from Cerro Gordo graduate Sophie Ozier, General Manager of the Arkansas Travelers.

She shared her journey from internships with the St. Louis Blues and Fox Sports Midwest to entry-level positions and ultimately becoming GM of a Double-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. Sophie encouraged students to pursue their passions and reminded them that a career in sports marketing is possible—starting right here in our hometown.
