The family of Nick Shelton presented Mr. David Salefski with a monetary donation in Nick’s memory to support students in the Industrial Technology Department at Bement High School. Nick was a welder by trade—and one of the very best.

A total of 32 professionals and career speakers participated in today’s 8th–12th grade Career Fair, providing students with valuable insight into a wide range of career pathways. Students had the opportunity to attend three different breakout sessions based on their interests.
Career fields represented included agriculture, engineering, healthcare, creative media, automotive, cosmetology, skilled trades, business, and law enforcement.
We extend our sincere appreciation to all of the professionals who generously volunteered their time to share their experiences with our students. A special thank you goes to Mrs. Nelson, Guidance Counselor, for her outstanding efforts in organizing this event.

REMINDER - TODAY THE BUS WILL PICK UP ON PIATT STREET AGAIN DUE TO CONSTRUCTION
Bement 6th grade science students have been learning all about the earth. They were given the chance to build volcanoes for extra credit. Students were graded on accuracy and Volcano knowledge. As a bonus, the students were able to go outside today and erupt their volcanoes.

The Bement Middle School Scholastic Bowl team had a busy, but wonderful, start to their season last week! They competed 3 nights in a row with 8 matches for the varsity and 7 matches for the junior varsity. Varsity finished the week with 3 wins and some very close losses, most by only one question! They have all demonstrated amazing knowledge, sportsmanship, and teamwork and have had lots of fun doing it! Thanks to the community's support of our calendar fundraiser and concession stands at games, they celebrated with team meals from Subway and at Mama T's! They head to Atwood for their final regular meet this Tuesday and to Sullivan for the conference tournament on Thursday!
