
A CGB Booster Club Meeting will be held on April 23 (Wednesday) at Cerro Gordo High School starting at 6pm. They will be electing officers and discussing 2025-2026 events. Tyce Alumbaugh signed his Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Monmouth College. Tyce will pursue a major in Music Education and participate in Track – pole vault. Tyce is the son of Michael and Jessica Alumbaugh of Bement.

Bement Middle/High School Spring Play - March 14th and 15th.


Melanie Courchaine, 2nd Grade Teacher at Bement, was awarded the Empowering Education Grant by Eastern Illini Electric Cooperative. The $500 grant will support her "Butterfly Explorers" project.
The "Butterfly Explorers" project aims to engage second-grade student in hands-on, inquiry-based learning by raising butterflies in the classroom. Students will observe the life cycle of butterflies, fostering a deeper understanding of life sciences and environmental stewardship. It will integrate cross-curricular learning in the areas of writing, art, science, and math.

2 middle school students participated in the JHOC Spelling Bee in Arthur on Tuesday. Cecelia Cain placed 6th out of 24 and Laurel Conlin placed 10th out of 24. Olivia Dalton and Mackenzie Kendall attended as alternates. The students’ performed remarkably well and were exceptional representatives of Bement School District.



8th Grade STEM students participated in the KidWind Challenge this morning at Heartland Community College. Results of the competition will not be known until next week. The students did a great job this morning!

CGB Athletics Booster Club Meeting - Wednesday, June 5 at 5:30 in the Cerro Gordo Commons. We will elect officers and plan a few Booster Club Events to start the school year.
If you have children who attend Bement or Cerro Gordo and participate in JH or HS Athletics please come and participate in the Booster Club.
Your support and participation is important to the future of CGB Athletics.


Online registration will begin on Monday, July 15.

Miss Lennox Hayes was our Principal for the Day.
She was an Amazing Principal who supervised K-2 and MS /HS lunch, delivered packages, made copies, sorted mail, prepared the lunch party for Elementary students and sent emails.
Lennox has a real future as a Principal!!
