Our Sports & Entertainment Marketing students had the honor of presenting a check for $1,296.52 to the Bement Food Pantry from our Movie for Meals event. This donation will help purchase items to create bags of food for local families in need this Thanksgiving. We are so grateful to everyone who supported this project—whether you attended the event, donated, or helped spread the word. It truly takes a village, and Bement showed up in a big way.

Thank you for helping our students make a real difference right here at home. 💜🐾

Today, Mrs. Leinard’s Sports & Entertainment Marketing class had the privilege of hearing from Cerro Gordo graduate Sophie Ozier, General Manager of the Arkansas Travelers.

She shared her journey from internships with the St. Louis Blues and Fox Sports Midwest to entry-level positions and ultimately becoming GM of a Double-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. Sophie encouraged students to pursue their passions and reminded them that a career in sports marketing is possible—starting right here in our hometown.
