
Our PAWS program recognizes and rewards students for exhibiting exemplary PAWSitive behavior.

4 House System
The House System is to promote unity, build relationships, connections, and leadership.
All K-5 students and faculty will be put into one of 4 houses
Houses represent a positive behavior
Green - Optimism - Positive Attitude
Blue - Kindness - Always be Kind
Purple - Integrity - Work Hard
Red - Respect - Show Respect
House T-shirt for every student / staff member
Everyone is responsible for awarding points
Each teacher will have House Points for their class displayed in their rooms
Points tallied on Building Spreadsheet
Points start over each quarter
House points are not taken away and are separate from classroom management
House points are awarded using the following guidance:
1 house point for an isolated achievement
Everyone from a house is present - needs done daily
Act of kindness
Picking up trash in restroom, holding a door open when not asked
2 house points for a sustained achievement
Hard work on a project
Sustained good behavior
Reached a goal
RtI, passed XtraMath
3 house points for a special achievement or a group achievement
e.g. for winning a class based team game
Something that goes above and beyond
A community member contacts you, guest speaker compliments behavior, etc
5 to 10 house points can be awarded for extra special achievements by Administrators or PAWS-itive Behavior Team
Points will not be rewarded if asked for by students
Points are meant for rewarding behaviors that exemplify Kindness, Optimism, Integrity, and Respect.
Weekly Awards
The winning house will have 4 names drawn by an administrator to come pick a prize
Names are announced over the intercom by 5th grade students during announcements
Quarterly Assemblies
Each quarter we will have themed assemblies for each of the Houses
Quarter 1- Kindness
Quarter 2- Respect
Quarter 3- Optimism
Quarter 4- Integrity
