As part of our Veterans Day Ceremony, students from our elementary, middle school, and high school will share stories of veterans who have connections to our school or community.

We know there are many wonderful stories of service and sacrifice within our community, and we would love to help our students learn about them.

Do you have a veteran in your family or know someone from our community whose story we could share?

We would love to learn about their military service, meaningful experiences, lessons learned, and advice they would share with today's students. Photographs are welcome, too.

Information can be emailed to mvogt@bement.k12.il.us or dropped off at the Bement CUSD #5 Unit Office. If possible, please obtain the veteran's permission before sharing their story or photograph.

Veterans Day Ceremony

All veterans, families, and community members are invited to join us as we recognize and thank those who have served.

Our community has a rich history, and the experiences of our veterans are an important part of that history. We look forward to sharing some of those stories with our students.
