BEMENT CUSD#5 UNIT OFFICE - Full-time Bookkeeper
Full-time Bookkeeper opening for the Bement CUSD #5 Unit Office. Position hours are Mon-Fri 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
Salary/Benefits: Pay negotiable based on experience with board paid insurance, sick leave, and vacation leave per the Collective Bargaining Agreement and Board Policy. This position is IMRF qualified.
Qualifications: High School Diploma plus three years of accounting/business-related experience; proficient in word processing, spreadsheets, Google, basic accounting, computer operations, and operation of various types of office equipment; attention to detail and accuracy; excellent interpersonal skills, ability to be a team player, self-starter, follow through with tasks until completion, maintain confidentiality; such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. Associate’s Degree in Accounting/Business-related field preferred.
Responsibilities: Performs specialized clerical duties, oversees district purchasing and billing, works with superintendent to provide documentation for the district budget, tracks funds received as well as expenditures, maintains records for reporting to the Illinois State Board of Education, manages IMRF and TRS reporting, processes employee paperwork, prepares payrolls, attends monthly school board meetings, performs related work as required.

Bement High School - Spanish Teacher
Teach 9th-12th grades with the possibility of middle school exploratory foreign language classes.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or higher. Valid Illinois Professional Educator License for this position.
Salary/Benefit: The salary will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experiences as determined by the collective bargaining agreement plus board paid health insurance and TRS.

Middle School Assistant Baseball Coach -
Duties: As an assistant coach, you will help the head coach run practices after school, attending all games, and running or assigning a parent volunteer to run the score board during the home games. This is a paid position through Bement CUSD 5.
All coaches will take a Fundamentals of Coaching Course, concussion protocol test, First Aid and CPR course thru IESA and paid for by the district. The season starts August 5 and lasts about 7-8 weeks depending on Regional advancement.
