We are wrapping up a $2.8 million school improvement remodel and update project.  The great news is that we were able to do this without raising property taxes.  We received $1.4 million in QZAB bonds, which are no or low interest bonds.  Our Health Life Safety Project included - over 100 replacement windows (we previously had a single pane of glass in our elementary windows allowing heat and cold temps to affect the classroom - now we have double paned glass, with tinting, energy efficiency and functional screens) These new windows alone saved us over 50% of the energy used this past winter compared to the prior year's energy use.  We also have a state of the art fire alarm system along with interior and exterior emergency lighting.  The elementary girls/women's restroom was completely remodeled, several repairs were made to areas of the roofing, and new ceilings were installed in the library, small gym and band room.  This summer we finished up our project with the tuck pointing of chimneys and buildings and secure entryways at both the high school and elementary entrances. We replaced nine doors, including the big and small gym doors. The newly designed elementary office will be finished by the end of August. We are very proud of our school and it is important that it looks good on the inside and the outside with safety as one of our top priorities.  If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.   Come see our new look!  Thank you for your support as we keep moving our district forward.
