4th Graders Celebrate World Kindness Week
The 4th grade class has just finished their month long study on the idea of Kindness. After reading the book Wonder, students felt inspired to show their community some extra kindness during World Kindness week November 7-13. During the past month, students worked on small acts of kindness at home with a kindness calendar. They also wrote every staff member in the Elementary wing a kindness letter. To wrap up the unit, students created tie blankets for the Bement Nursing Home. Huge thank you to the parents for their donations, Mrs. Sweet and Ms. Vogt for their support of the project, and to Bement Nursing Home for allowing us to come in and spread some joy and kindness to their residents. 4th grade made 38 blankets and every resident of the Bement Nursing Home received a new blanket.
