Emily Dowell-BHS February Student of the Month
Launch the media gallery 1 playerEmily Dowell was honored on March 5, as Bement High School February Student of the Month. Stephanie Witts, high school English and math teacher commented, “Emily is a student who always puts in total effort in everything she does. She seeks help when she needs it and is never afraid to ask questions. Emily is always one of the first to volunteer to help others and has an excellent work ethic. Emily is member of the volleyball team and was on the first semester high honor roll.” Emily is daughter of Jake and Nikki Mann and Jason Dowell.
The Student of the Month Award is co-sponsored by the High School Student Council and the State Bank of Bement. Its purpose is to recognize a student whose attitude and involvement serve to improve our school. This award was announced during an assembly on March 5, where Emily was presented a certificate by Doug Kepley, high school principal and a gift card from the State Bank of Bement presented by Ken Wright.
