Jill Urbach
RtI Instructor

Welcome to RtI!

RtI stands for Response to Intervention. I work with individual or small groups of students who need extra help learning classroom concepts and foundational skills. The RtI team uses researched based methods and frequent assessments to make sure each student is learning and developing the skills being taught.

This is my 14th year teaching at Bement. Previously, I taught 13 years in the Urbana school district as a first and third grade teacher.  I also have been a substitute teacher, a cross-categorical teacher's aide, and a stay at home mom. I received my Bachelor's degree in elementary education from the University of Illinois, and my Master's degree in curriculum, instruction, and assessment from Walden University.

I live near White Heath with my husband and two Shetland sheepdogs. I have two daughters. One is at the U of I majoring in Animal Science, and my oldest daughter is in graduate school majoring in Biology. I use a lot of my free time reading, gardening, playing with my dogs, and enjoying the outdoors.

Bement is a wonderful friendly school to work and learn at! It is an honor to work with the students and families here. Please feel free to contact me if you ever have any questions!
