Emma Fuqua-Student of the Month!

Emma Fuqua was honored on October 10th as Bement High School September Student of the Month.

Angie Corum, FACS teacher, commented, “Emma has been a wonderful asset to the FCCLA chapter.  Her work ethic at the Farm Progress Show really showcased her leadership skills.  She also volunteered to help with the military t-shirts; her attention to detail and organizational skills really put her above others.  She is a great leader in class and helps her peers as needed.  Emma has a bright future ahead of her, and Bement High School is lucky to have this kind and caring individual amongst our student body.”  Emma is the daughter of Heather Fuqua and Don Fuqua.

The Student of the Month Award is co-sponsored by the High School Student Council and State Bank of Bement.  Its purpose is to recognize a student whose attitude and involvement serve to improve our school.  This award was announced during an assembly where Emma was presented a certificate by Jill Clodfelter, Student Council Co-Sponsor, and a gift card by Ken Wright from the State Bank of Bement.
