Bement High School Accepting Hall of Fame Nominations
The Bement Board of Education began its annual Bement High School Hall of Fame Award in 1991, with the naming of Sereno Bodman and Gary Gallagher as it first members. Since its inception, fifty-three Bement High School graduates have been named to the Hall of Fame. Last year the Hall of Fame honorees were: Nancy Ard and Robert Driskill.
Each year as many as two BHS graduates are selected to be honored. To qualify for membership a graduate or honorary alumnus must have achieved outstanding success in his or her career field, and/or contributed significantly to his or her community.
All nominations are reviewed in the spring and the honorees are announced in May. They are recognized and receive their award at the homecoming football game in the fall.
