............................Public Act 94-004: Sex Offender Registration.

This legislation requires that principals and/or teachers of public or private elementary or secondary schools notify parents that information about sex offenders is available to the public. This sex offender information is available on the following web site: Illinois State Police

The Illinois State Police provides an online listing of sex offenders required to register in the State of Illinois. The database is updated daily and allows searching by name, city, county, zip code, compliance status, or any combination thereof.

The All Kids program offers Illinois’ uninsured children comprehensive health care that includes doctor’s visits, hospital stays, prescription drugs, vision care, dental care and medical devices like eyeglasses and asthma inhalers. Parents pay monthly premiums for the coverage, but rates for middle-income families are significantly lower than they are on the private market.

Bright Start is a Section 529 college savings plan sponsored by the state of Illinois and sold nationwide to help families save for the future costs of higher education. In 1999, the Illinois Treasurer's Office created the plan specifically to give families a powerful combination of tax benefits, flexibility, and professional investment management. Any individual, regardless of age, income or state residency can open or contribute to a Bright Start Account.
